H.A.R.T Shot Challenge Series Rules

The H.A.R.T  Challenge Series is designed to help individuals explore and learn about new areas and the wildlife that inhabit those regions through a series of challenges that will place emphasis on the skill of the hunter to locate and get close to the game species chosen. Rules are as follows:

  1. There will be 20 Challenges that will be released as the animals become available within the App.  New Challenges may be added in the future or adjustments made due to shifting or expanding wildlife populations.
  2. There will be three weapon divisions
    1. Firearms-Any firearm or non-firing firearm that activates the H.A.R.T Shot app
    2. H.A.R.Tchery-Any bow system or faux bow that can activate the H.A.R.T shot App
    3. H.A.R.T Stick- Camera captured H.A.R.T shots. The H.A.R.T Stick is analogous to the Native American Coup Stick used by warriors to show bravery and honor by striking the adversary with it, but not killing them. Skill and bravery were displayed, but mercy was given.
  3. There are no age or gender divisions..
  4. Upon making a H.A.R.T Shot, the shot will be verified and added to the Trophy Room. The individual will select which Challenge the animal will be applied to. Only one Challenge per H.A.R.T Shot. The individual can then purchase a Skullie for their collection.
  5. Only male animals with both antlers or both horns qualify. Antlers may be in any stage of growth or velvet. Males or females will qualify for animals without horns or antlers as a species.
  6. All individuals must follow wildlife laws where applicable and respect the animal by doing their best to remain unseen and undetected before and after the shot. The app is designed to work at a safe distance of 30 to 50 yards. Anything closer is unnecessary but may happen from time to time. It is the goal not to disturb the animal any more than if you surprised it on a hike or any other outdoor activity. Any dangerous game should be H.A.R.Ted in tree stands, solid blinds, or any other structure that allows for the safety of the H.A.R.Ter and the subsequent safety of the animal. Observe a 100-yard minimum ground distance to all dangerous game.
  7. The Firearms and H.A.R.Tchery divisions must take place on H.A.R.T verified properties. Wildlife agency permission or proper licenses and permits will be required until H.A.R.T is adopted by wildlife agencies. H.A.R.T Stick division can hunt/photograph anywhere there is legal access, public or private.
  8. H.A.R.T makes no claims to differences in no, low, or high fence areas of 300 acres or more, as it is all about the experience and getting outdoors. The Challenges are more for oneself, although bragging rights will surely ensue. No captive animals will be verified. (zoos, wildlife enclosures, etc.)
  9. The first person to complete each challenge can help design the Award Trophy.  All individuals who complete a challenge will be able to purchase a replica or print of the original and will also be entered into the H.A.R.T Hunts Record Book.
  10. H.A.R.T Challenges may be passed down to immediate family, and all those involved will be recognized. If both individuals were pursuing the same challenge, one challenge must be forfeited, as they are not additive.
  11. H.A.R.T Hunts reserves the right to add additional prizes or awards on an annual basis based on current completion status for each challenge.
  12. When H.A.R.Ting with a weapon, it is important to have the proper licenses and tags. This helps alleviate confusion and helps generate funding for conservation efforts. When H.A.R.Ting without a legal weapon, standard photographic ethics and standards apply.
  13. As technology advances, H.A.R.T Hunts reserves the right to add Challenges based on antler or horn measurement scores through a  H.A.R.T scoring system.
