Land Access & Ethical Guidelines

This challenge takes you to some of the most diverse habitats in North America — and with that comes responsibility.

You may H.A.R.T on:

  • Public land with H.A.R.T Stick only
  • Private land (with permission)
  • Preserves or hunting ranches

You must:

  • Follow all local hunting regulations
  • Carry appropriate licenses and tags when applicable
  • Never trespass on private land
  • Respect animals by minimizing disturbance and maintaining a safe distance

The H.A.R.T system is designed to work at a safe distance of 30–50 yards. Anything closer is discouraged unless unplanned. The goal is always minimal impact and maximum respect.

Tips for Completing the Challenge

1

Plan for Variety

This isn’t a one-state sweep. Each species will take you to a different type of terrain. Expect to traverse mountains, wetlands, open plains, dense forests, and even deserts.

2

Time Your Hunts Strategically

Breeding seasons, migrations, and local regulations vary by species and state. Research timing to optimize your encounters.

3

Choose the Right Division for Each Hunt

Some regions may not allow firearms. In those cases, the H.A.R.T Stick is a powerful and ethical alternative.

Recognition and Record-Keeping

Each verified H.A.R.T shot earns you a commemorative Patch and a place in the H.A.R.T the Hunt Record Book. Also, you will be invited to purchase and collect all the Skullies for a one-of-a-kind trophy collection.

The first person to complete this challenge will help design and name the official North American 20 trophy. All future completers may purchase a replica engraved with their name and date of completion. You may purchase a commemorative Skullie display board to show off the Skullies you collected during the challenge.
